Surrounded by greenery on the border between Umbria and Marche, 800 meters. on the sea level there is the La Casciara agritourism, it takes its name from the place where in the past the cheese was stored to mature; It is located in a quiet and panoramic position, surrounded by pastures and for the most part by woods frequented by the local fauna (wild boars, hares, fallow deer, porcupines ...). The farmhouse, an ancient garrison of the Marquises Bufalini (noble family of the '500), recently renovated has become a comfortable farmhouse where silence reigns and quiet and where guests can spend a quiet, relaxing and away from the confusion but not from the places important and beautiful as those that can be found in Umbria (Cittą di Castello, Citerna, Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, San Giustino), Tuscany (San Sepolcro, Monterchi with the famous "Madonna del Parto", Anghiari) and Marche (Urbino) . From the Casciara it is easy to reach the Sentiero Italia that runs along the farm in the northern part. The farm is open all year round; inside there are two apartments, five spacious rooms, a small bar and services. On the ground floor there is the dining room, where you can enjoy the flavors of the past in a completely familiar atmosphere; from the bread prepared in the old wood-burning oven, to the typical dishes of the place that recall the rural tradition of Umbria; in addition to dishes prepared with traditional Argentine recipes (empanadas, churrasco with fritas and the famous "Asado Criollo"). The structure is also accessible to disabled people. The family-run company has always procured firewood, bred animals of low court and livestock that during the spring and summer can be admired in our pastures. With us you can buy company products depending on availability. "La Casciara" is an ideal place to relive the rural tradition in close contact with the animals and the environment that still retains all its naturalness.
