The agriturismo
This Umbrian-Tuscan farmhouse, started in 1990, offers organic catering at zero km in the restaurant? Le Due Valli ?. Inside there is an educational farm, organic crops and own products. At guests' disposal, a swimming pool, the company's stables, a field for archery, bicycles, bowls, a picnic area, a playground. The agritourism structure feeds with photovoltaics and differentiates waste; it also has a Wi-Fi zone.
The accommodation
Set on the terrace of an Umbrian-Tuscan hill, over an area of ??16 hectares, the hotel is set in several finely restored stone and brick buildings, including 6 rooms furnished in rustic style with private bathrooms, ventilation or air conditioning. The farm has 2 apartments with two services each, areas in front for relaxation, a lounge for reading, conversation, leisures and TV. In addition, the laundry and a covered enclosure with doghouse to accommodate guests' dogs. The Wi-Fi zone is also available. The family that conducts the business is particularly sensitive to environmental problems and has chosen to adopt photovoltaics for the production of electricity. Renato, Maria Teresa and Ernesto are appreciated for courtesy and kindness, quality with which I express the enthusiasm for their work. In addition, the family cares directly to the olive trees and vineyards, the orchard and the vegetable garden, the grazing for horses, reared freely in the farm along with sheep, geese, chickens, ducks, bees, guinea fowls and turkeys. All this translates into certified organic products: oil, wine, honey, jams, grappa, saffron and chilli, to be bought and enjoyed at the table thanks to a Tuscan-Umbrian, family, seasonal and peasant cuisine. Maria Teresa also organizes cooking classes.
