The agriturismo
Marcofrate is a small farmhouse of 5 simple, welcoming, regenerating rooms; it is a spot of refreshment, where you can taste Umbrian products and in particular, those coming from the surroundings of Mount Subasio. Near Assisi and Spello, from here you can easily reach all the main destinations in Umbria. The property is made of unspoiled woods and wild lands, where some rare and original cultivations are being started. Here you can live in the respect of Nature, and put aside the stress of modern city life.
The accommodation
At Marcofrate, life is simple. In your room you will find everything you need for a regenerating rest and preparation for the day.
The breakfast is healthy and genuine but rich in choice, with also products from nearby farms.
Digital Detox: free to devote yourself to Yourself, since the telephone and internet signal is poor, and is absent in almost all rooms... You will sleep deeply and undisturbed!
Surrounded by simple and natural materials, without plastics or chemicals harmful to health, the farm is a large old house full of history, which can accommodate from 10 to 14 people.
The five rooms are all with private bathroom and a large shower. Most beds are huge (2x2 m), in white cotton sheets that smells of sun and fresh air. Two of the rooms are double bedrooms, for a couple special stay or for a large family where parents can have some privacy. There is also a common room for meals and a beautiful terrace for dining or breakfast when the weather permits.
Activities and surrounding
In the farmhouse we are currently working on the garden and on the project of the swimming pool, which is not there yet. In the surroundings you can rest, sunbathe or go for walks, rent bikes, visit a riding school, move around and easily reach either the most popular destinations in Umbria, Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Rasiglia, Trevi, or discover those little villages that nobody knows and that make you live again the atmosphere of the past, Collepino, Armenzano, Bevagna.
