The agriturismo
In Sagrantino D.O.C.G. wine country, in a redeveloped country town, the agriturismo is the ideal base for excursions and visits to cities of art.
Surrounded by a large garden, it has a characteristic wood and brick farmhouse and a working farm that produces forage, cereals, extra-virgin olive oil, lentils, spelt, chickpeas and preserves.
The accommodation
Situated in the old town, the bedrooms and apartments for guests are decorated in pastel colours and offer modern conveniences.
In the restaurant, guests can enjoy traditional local food prepared using the farm's own produce or products from selected producers in the Sagrantino area: bruschetta with extra-virgin olive oil from the agriturismo, strangozzi alla spoletina (fresh pasta with tomato sauce), cured meats and cheeses and a whole range of other specialities.
The food is washed down with the famous wines of Sagrantino and Rosso di Montefalco. The hearty breakfasts are based on homemade cakes and focaccia bread.
Activities and surrounding
The surrounding countryside is characterised by rolling hills and fields of sunflowers, cereals and forage, which offer a blaze of colour throughout the year.
The area is full of wineries where guests can taste traditional wines. The long cycle path that leads from Spoleto to Assisi passes 4 km away.
Montefalco, Bevagna, Trevi, Spello and Todi are only a short drive from the agriturismo. There are many events throughout the year, such as in June the Mercato delle Gaite in Bevagna, the folk festival of medieval trades in Bevagna, and the marvellous flower festivals in Spello.
