Agriturismo Borgo Poggiolo

The farm house on the little hill' is perched on a hilltop, 460 m. a.s.l. Overlooking an untouched wooded valley, it is set in the gentle Umbrian hills, close to the border with Tuscany. The 17th century farm buildings have been faithfully restored in the typical local style, retaining many  original features and all of its authenticity and rustic charm. The building is divided into four self-catering apartments which sleep two, four and six people. Additionally, there are three separate double rooms. Taking over all the accommodations is an optional for a group of 20-22 people for a family event, course, or to celebrate a birthday with friends from all over the world. We like to inviting you to visit our website www.borgopoggiolo.com to give you a completer impression of our agriturism and its location.

Borgo Poggiolo has something for everyone. It’s the perfect place to come and explore the tranquil Umbrian countryside or just relax with a good book by the wonderful swimming pool, accompanied by a background of birdsong. Children are also welcome and are free to play and enjoy the natural surroundings, whilst being safe and secure, as the pool area is completely fenced in. 

Apartment ARCO - 2 beds, 31 m². This apartment is called “Arch” as it links the two parts of the main building. It is a romantic apartment consisting of a living area with a wood-burning stove, a double bed,  kitchen with oven,  bathroom. It also has an outside seating area.

Apartment PIETRA ANTICA - 2 beds, 40 m². This lovely ground floor apartment is flooded by the sunshine at dawn and has a view on the pool. It consists of a spacious living area with a wood-burning stove, a double bed, kitchen with oven, bathroom. Just outside, it has a seating area of its own.

Apartment PANORAMA - 4 beds, 76 m². This apartment has an enviable view over the Umbrian valleys and hills. It has a living-room, a fully equipped kitchen with oven, an open fireplace, two double bedrooms (with the  possibility of adding an extra bed), and a bathroom. There is a seating area just outside the apartment.

Apartment TERRAZZA - 6 beds, 135 m². This “jewel in the crown ”is a spacious apartment consisting of  three double bedrooms ( with the possibility of adding an additional bed), two bathrooms, (one with a bathtub, one with a shower), a fully equipped kitchen with oven and dish-washer, a large dining room, and a sitting room
with a wood-burning stove. It has a large  terrace which offers splendid views across the valley. A stone staircase from the terrace leads directly down into the garden.

Apartment OLIVO - 4 beds, 80 m². A pretty apartment on the ground floor, suitable for two-to-four people and situated in the rural  house where we have our residence. It’s called "CASANOVA", just 200 meter from the tiny village of Pornello and 5 minutes by car from Borgo Poggiolo where you can use the pool. The apartment, which also has wheelchair access, consists of a living with a wood-burning stove, equipped kitchen with oven, two double bedrooms, both with  an en suite bathroom. It’s also possible to rent the apartment with one room and bathroom. In that case the price for a week for 2 people is €450 in low season and €600 in high season. A seating area with a stunning view just outside the apartment. Two young donkeys, some hens (fresh eggs), a family of cats keep us company in the garden.

Room EDERA - 2-3 beds, 30 m². This is a large double bedroom with an additional single bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower.

Room IBISCO - 2-3 beds, 27 m². This is a large double bedroom with an additional single bed and an en-suite bathroom and shower.

Room GELSOMINO - 2 beds, 18 m². Another double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower and marvellous views at sunset!
