The farm is only 3 kms from the famous beaches of Bibione and Lignano Sabbiadoro, on the north-eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea.

The farm, partly reclaimed at the beginning of the century, presents an age-old history.

In the first decades of the century, some families of farmers were given a prize for their loyalty: for over 450 years, they ahd been working at the service of the Toniatti Giacometti family.

The agricultural activity of the farm is various, characterized by cultivations fit to be sown, cultivation of pears and vineyards. The grapes produced in the farm are turned into wine in the farm's cellar, which boasts an over-four-century-long tradition, and gives life to a high quality wine production.

Race-horse-breeding is what makes the farm internationally known. The high level of the stud-mare-breeding, thanks to a constant and clearly definded selection, is the starting point for the production of colts, which race in all the european racecourses.

The great outcome leads to the export of the seed of the best stallions of the stud. The horses are free to graze on almost 100 hectares of land. All this allows the farm to offer its guests an uncomparable and unique scenery of old times, when agriculture meant also environmental protection and respect.

Located on the bank of the river Tagliamento, this farm takes advantage of the proximity of a quiet bend of the river to offer its customers the option of bathing on its shores, taking a bath surrounded by nature as tourists from centuries ago. The location of Casa Gioconda allows then to enjoy several outdoor activities in contact with nature. Its guests can rent, on request, a boat, canoe paddle, or rent a horse and make a stroll in the nature, from the lagoon to the beaches of Lignano and Bibione. In addition it is possibile to rent some mountain bikes and reach the beach of Bibione through the bike path built on the bank of the river Tagliamento near farm.

Casa Gioconda is just in the middle between Venice and Trieste, two cities which do not need presentation: the House is perfect starting-point for several tours to the many wonderful spots that can be visited all around, of historical and cultural interest, with private or public transports.

The archaelogical site of Aquileia is famous for the richness of its ancient Roman remains and the good state of its mosaics.

Only few kms far is the town of Concordia Sagittaria (Julia Concordia), of Roman origins, with archaelogical excavations all around the ancient cathedral. In the near region Friuli Venezia Giulia there are the mediaeval city of Cividale del Friuli, ancient capital of the Longobards, and the sixteenth-century Palmanova, bulwark against the turkish invasion, known for its star.like city map.

Last but not least, Udin, the cultural capital of the Friuli, and the magnificent Villa Manin in Passariano, the country-house of the last Doge of Venice. In 1797 Napoleon himself stayed there on the occasion of the treaty of Campoformido.

Today, it is the seat of the regional centre of art cataloguing, and a restoration school, and during the summer, in its huge park, concerts and cultural events take place.
