The agriturismo

This intimate, peaceful place is only 15 minutes from Verona in the beautiful hills of the Marcellise valley, where you can restore your body and mind. Hospitality is at home here, and you can enjoy organic products from the farm, like extra virgin olive oil and Valpolicella wine.

Guests can practice yoga, explore nature on the educational trail and many other trails for those who love hiking and mountain biking. 

The accommodation

The agriturismo has 4 double rooms on the ground floor with bathrooms, all bright with a large arch-shaped windowed door looking out onto the surrounding hills. We can host disabled guests and provide them with an exit into the spacious garden; all the rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV, A/C and outdoor areas for smokers. Designed to ensure total relaxation, the beds: bases with wooden slats, anatomical pillows, hypoallergenic, breathable and antibacterial mattresses in memory foam. The bathrooms are fitted with showers, toilets, bidets, wash basins, hairdryers and a courtesy toiletry set with olive oil-based products.

All of our guests can use the breakfast room, with a kitchen with oven, electric burners, pots and pans; a spacious and bright fitness room is available with pillows, mats and straps for yoga or other fitness training; the large garden, terrace and barbeque area are open to all.

The farm has partner agreements with several restaurants and pizzerias in the valley, one of which is only 200 meters away, where guests can enjoy typical traditional dishes at very special prices. 

Activities and surrounding

Guests can also book traditional and shiatsu massages onsite.

Guests can hike of ride mountain bikes (available to our guests) along the scenic trails running through the hills surrounding the agriturismo. Nature lovers will enjoy the educational trail with information about local fauna and flora. 

The beauty of the Marcellise valley and sampling of typical local products are not to be missed (olive oil, wine and honey). Guests can visit a wellness center, the Giunone hot springs, a water park, the village of Soave with its castle, small lakes for sport fishing, horseback riding stables and a bicycle trail along the bank of the Adige River all within a span of 5-10 minutes away. Verona and all of its marvels are only fifteen minutes away, Lake Garda and its villages only 35 minutes. Monte Baldo with the most important botanical gardens in all of Europe is 50 minutes away, the Lessini Mountains and historical quarry and Bolca Fossils Museum are only 35 minutes away, Mantua and the treasures of the Gonzaga dynasty 40 minutes, the Ville Palladiane about 30 minutes, Venice about 65 minutes, and the Dolomite Mountains, a Unesco World Heritage site, only 90 minutes.

We spent a few lovely days at Casa Zen. Ilenia and Fanco are very hospitable and caring. Very good accommodations and lovely surroundings - vineyards and olive groves - make Casa Zen a place worth recommending to anyone.

We were here for 4 nights and absolutely satisfied. Franco and Ilenia are perfect hosts. They offer a lot (tasting of homemade wines and oil), tips for exploring and restaurants. They were very cordial also to our son. Ilenia speaks good German, English is no problem.
