The agriturismo
A little sixteenth century hamlet on a romantic canal with fields stretching as far as the eye can see, made up of a complex of traditional houses and 6 modern apartments with all the home comforts you could need.
A private, relaxing spot surrounded by greenery, ideal for children, with a large swimming pool and plenty of space to walk and cycle.
Just 30 minutes from Mantua, 40 minutes from Verona and an hour from Venice, the perfect base to explore the wonders of the Veneto.
The accommodation
The 6 apartments, each named after a colour -Verde, Azzurro, Pistacchio, Arancio, Blu and Marrone — are located on the ground floor of a new hi-tech, green building. The apartments are comfortable and quiet, with heating and lighting provided by thermal and photovoltaic systems. All of the accommodation enjoys the same beautiful views: the sprawling grounds to the front, and sunsets over the fields to the rear, ever-changing with the seasons.
Each apartment is 52 square metres, and comprises a spacious living area with kitchen, large table and two sofa beds; a large bedroom with a double or queen-sized bed and a handy wardrobe and a spacious bathroom with plenty of room to move.
Each apartment also has a spacious and comfortable entrance, and a beautiful flower bed filled with aromatic plants, plus an outside relaxation area with umbrellas and a table and chairs. The apartments stand in over 2 hectares of grounds, home to 1500 small trees. When this countryside was still all cultivated, here there were stretches of corn and wheat, now there are elms, ash trees, hazels, wild cherries and jujubes.
A little organic vegetable garden in raised wooden beds, in keeping with monastic tradition, is open to guests who can pick carrots, salad leaves, tomatoes and other delicious seasonal vegetables to enjoy just as fresh as they come.
As well as a large children's play area, the agriturismo also offers a beautiful 80 m swimming pool nestled in the green grounds.
