The agriturismo
Togonegro is a small farmhouse hidden in a secret valley among the hills a few minutes from Marostica, 8 km from Bassano, but at the edge of the forest.
The structure is an old stone farmhouse, completely renovated in 2016 respecting tradition but at the same time inspired by energy self-sufficiency.
Despite being an old rural hamlet, it is still lived following the rhythm of the seasons: at nightfall, you can see the stars. During the day, on the other hand, one can see and hear animals in their habitat.
The accommodation
Togonegro is a small family-run farm.
On the farm, in addition to the owners Cristina and Alessandro, live two dogs, two cats, a dozen chickens and a small flock of sheep.
On the property there is a vegetable garden where they cultivate all year round respecting the principles of permaculture and some orchards.
With the harvested fruit, tasty jams are made to offer to guests for breakfast, along with other fresh products at km 0.
The accommodation can accommodate up to a maximum of 8 people and consists of three rooms, each with private bathroom and independent entrance.
"La Casa del Vento Matteo ": spacious and bright room with large windows and a loft where guests can feel immersed in a magical bath of light between forest and sky. It accommodates a maximum of 4 people. Suitable for families.
"The Window to the Orchard": a bright and intimate room with a spectacular window looking out over the orchard and forest.
"The House of the Old Woods": bright room kissed by the morning sun. It is romantically decorated with woodland animals.
Guests will have access to the communal kitchen, equipped with everything they need for cooking. Here, a buffet breakfast will be served in the morning, which can be eaten either on the stone table in the kitchen or on the large chestnut table on the porch.We ask our guests to wash their dishes after breakfast.
On the porch, in addition to the barbecue, there is a wood-burning oven and two sofas available for guests to enjoy a nap in the open air, but sheltered from the sun.
The small outdoor pool, built of masonry like the old local farmhouses, is available to all guests; the sauna is by reservation.
During summer periods, the song of cicadas will accompany the rhythm of the days.
Activities and surrounding
From the facility you can go on nice walks that are not too strenuous, or you can reach theAsiago plateau by car or for those with a good leg by bicycle.
Not far from the farmhouse, one can reach the little church of the Cyclist and the famous Rosina climb.
Going down instead toward the city you can reach in addition to Marostica, the town of Bassano del Grappa, besides being a delightful town has a convenient train station and in an hour and 15 minutes of travel will take you to the beautiful Venice.
Togonegro is also conveniently located for visiting the Palladian villas in the Vicenza area.
