The agriturismo
Located in the heart of Salento Greece just a few steps from the most beautiful sea in Salento and immersed in the quiet of unspoiled nature , Masseria del Bosco was converted from an old rural structure, dating back to the mid-1800s, into a cozy farmhouse with rooms, restaurant, swimming pool and reception hall.
The accommodation
Within the walls of the masseria adjacent to the historic home of the Coppola family, the agriturismo was born.
The structure consists of 35 rooms, 10 of which were obtained directly inside the rooms where life took place in the ancient masseria, are the suites consisting of two large rooms with star vaulted ceilings that directly overlook small gardens for the private use of customers; they are suitable for couples who like to have the right spaces but also for families with two or three children.
The rest of the rooms are standard doubles or triples, large in size, all overlooking small private gardens or balconies for those on the second floor.
Thefarm consists of 25 hectares surrounding the agritourism; therefore, there are numerous paths immersed in nature and surrounded by the spontaneous vegetation of the Mediterranean maquis. Walking around it is possible to come across orchards, citrus groves, wheat and vegetable fields, as well as the ancient dry-stone walls typical of the Salento countryside.
To embellish the relaxation area of the farmhouse, there is a lovely swimming pool surrounded by nature and shrouded in a silence broken only by the sounds of the foliage of the trees caressed by the Salento wind. The entire solarium area is made of Lecce stone, the typical material of the area, and enriched with shaded areas and relaxation zones. By the pool you can enjoy a cool ice cream or refresh yourself with a drink offered by the bar that overlooks the pool area directly.
The farmhouse also has a restaurant that has an air-conditioned room inside and two outdoor rooms with a veranda, surrounded by nature and green plants. Every day in the kitchen, products arrive directly from the garden and are processed with love and dedication by the staff who, starting from the typical recipes of the Salento tradition, work them and offer traditional recipes but with a touch of novelty and inventiveness.
The facility is also available for events, weddings or banquets of various kinds.
Activities and surrounding
Inside the masseria, in addition to enjoying the peace and quiet of the place, by the pool it is possible to take advantage of the beauty and massage service directly at the rooms or in the green areas of the facility.In addition, the kitchen staff is happy to organize Salento cooking classes and homemade pasta courses upon request.
Twice a week they also organize the typical Salento dinner, where it will be possible to taste traditional dishes with the background of pizzica music, and the fisherman's dinner, a day when people go directly to the port to pick up fresh fish and serve it at the table in the evening.
The property is not far from the marvelous beaches of Salento, the Melendugno and Otranto Marinas, close to both organized bathing facilities and stretches of wild beach or cliffs.
The cradle city of southern Italy's Baroque, Lecce, is only 25 km away.
Near the property there is a riding school that offers excursions in the Mediterranean maquis both on horseback and by quad; sailing and surfing schools,a large golf course, tennis courts, padel, and soccer all within a few kilometers.
