The agriturismo

The Luis Gianni farmhouse is nestled in open countryside, overlooking the banks of the Natisone River, at the foot of the eastern Friuli hills and dominated by Mount Matajur and Mount Nero. Just 1.3 km from the center of Cividale (since 2011 recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site) and 17 km from Udine,the Agriturismowas born on the road that connects the Friulian plain to the middle and upper Soča Valley, in Slovenian territory. It offers a familiar and comfortable environment with large open-air spaces, a recreational area for children, a swimming pool equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas and the possibility of welcoming your 4-legged friends with dedicated kennels. You can also enjoy relaxing walks via connected trails, which also lead to nearby villages.

The accommodation

The property consists of 5 rooms and 4 studios, all air-conditioned and with private bathrooms. A varied breakfast buffet awaits you in the morning, served in the entire area or in the spacious outdoor porch furnished in rustic style.

We are also involved in 'pig breeding with our own production and sale of local sausages... and the production of wines made from our vineyards.

Activities and surrounding

The surrounding area offers a multitude of possibilities for your vacation. Cividale is a citown founded by Julius Caesar and whose major tourist attractions, in addition to the completely pedestrianized old town center, are the Cathedral with the Christian Museum, the Devil's Bridge, the Lombard Temple, the National Archaeological Museum, the Celtic Hypogeum, and various picturesque views that can be admired from the banks of the Natisone River.
During every season of the year Cividale offers events and manifestations such as thehe traditional and ancient Broadsword Mass with historical costume parade on January 6; lhe international cultural festival of Mittelfest in July; the Palio of San Donato in August, the Rally of the eastern alps in September (www.rallyalpiorientali.it), the Cividale-Castelmonte hill climb in October (www.scuderiaredwhite.com), the St. Martin's fair in November and the Christmas markets in December. Every fourth Sunday of the month (excluding summer) also offers the antiques market.

About ten kilometers away , is the Sanctuary of Castelmonte which towers above Cividale dedicated to the worship of the Virgin Mary.
