The agriturismo
Organic farmhouse at the foot of the Abruzzo National Park less than two hours from Rome and Naples. Although the property is well connected by public transportation and roads, it is surrounded by green countryside and is located at the gateway to the Parco Nazionale D'Abruzzo.
The accommodation
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, beautifully restored with terracotta tiles and hand-painted walls and can accommodate up to 5 people.
The beds are new and comfortable; a crib is available for families with small children. All rooms are made of limestone walls that keep them quite cool in summer, and air conditioning is not necessary for most guests.
Activities and surrounding
During your stay you can relax on the peaceful farm, eat fresh fruit from the trees, wander in the beautiful woods, immerse yourself in Italian culture, and enjoy delicious homemade Italian dishes.
It is possible to participate in a wide range of affordable activities such ashorseback riding, a visit to the local shepherd who makes cheese, guided hikes , yoga, paragliding, Italian cooking classes, and Italian language classes.
Guests enjoy spending time with the farm animals , harvesting fresh produce from the fields, and learning about the organic food process. Meals offered are delicately prepared with most ingredients sourced directly from the farm, which is able to accommodate a wide range of diets including non-vegetarian, vegetarian, veg an, and raw vegan.
The facility is located at the foot of a beautiful mountain in the Abruzzo National Park, close to extensive hiking trails, pristine waterfalls and beautiful lakes. The park itself is known for its wide variety of interesting wildlife including Marsicam bear, wolf, lynx, roe deer, Abruzzo chamois and golden eagle.In Sora, just a 40-minute walk away, you canhike to an old church and castle, visit the open-air market Thursday mornings, eat local cuisine (such as truffles) in the many restaurants, sample real Italian gelato, and go to the many cafes, pubs, and stores along the bustling main street.
