Less than 15 km from the Frasassi Caves and the San Vittore Genga Thermal Baths, it is a lifestyle in a typical mountain farmhouse, with restaurant, farms and organic farming.
The accommodation
5 km from Sassoferrato and 10 km from the Caves of Frasassi, Massimo Cipriani and Hans van Dorst will be pleased to welcome you in their organic farm, open from 1 May 2015; here they have undertaken a new project of life, to devote themselves to what they love: good food, organic farming, breeding. Hans, with a long veterinary experience, takes care of the farm animals, while Massimo offers local and regional cuisine, with a contemporary touch: chef for 25 years in the field, Massimo studied cuisine in Spoleto and then gained experience in Italy, London, Paris and the Netherlands; will offer you the best of Italian culinary and wine art. The old building of 1860 was demolished and replaced in the same place by a new construction, typical of the Marche mountains, maintaining the style of the original building and using materials partly recovered from the old farmhouse. The guest rooms, all with private bathrooms, are located on the ground floor. The premises where previously hay and foodstuffs were stored, host the restaurant: when you enter it, you will immediately notice the beautiful fireplace, which offers a welcoming atmosphere in the winter months; from the large windows of the hall, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the valley of Sassoferrato and the Apennines, which form the natural border with Umbria.
Activities and surrounding
In addition to long walks on marked trails, in the natural parks (Gola della Rossa, Conero and Monti Sibillini), guests can explore the mountains by mountain bike, even with a guide; Monte Cucco is a popular destination for hang-gliding and paragliding enthusiasts. Very beautiful medieval cities with museums, churches and castles: Fabriano, Gubbio and Cagli, the nearest, but also Assisi Perugia, Urbino and Macerata within a radius of 70 km. The beaches of Senigallia can be reached in 45 min. of cars.
