Via dell'Argomenna, 34, Località Santa Maria in Acone 50065 Pontassieve (Florence)
The agriturismo, with stone walls, is located on the hills of the Chianti area, surrounded by age-old olive groves. It was once home to the Cerchi family (12th century), whom Dante spent time with.
The agriturismo consists of a main house which is square in shape and at whose boundary is a complex that has been renovated and divided into apartments. In the garden, there is Renaissance-style chapel.
The villa, rebuilt in various periods, occupies the site of the ancient castle. It once belonged to the Cerchi family (mentioned in Dante’s Divine Comedy), then to the Fontebuoni and Gondi families, and is currently owned by the Spagnoli family.
The furniture and furnishings are unique period pieces.
Guests have access to two large outdoor car parks, a shared washing machine, a swimming pool, a barbecue area and a games area with ping pong.
