The agriturismo
In Pontassieve (30 km from Florence), the ancient 1400's estate is surrounded by greenery, surrounded by the unspoilt hills of Chianti Rufina and extends along the right bank of the Sieve river.
It is the ideal holiday for families, for friends but also for couples who want to relax lulled by the sounds of nature.
The country estate has been restored in total respect of the style and elegance of the typical Tuscan architecture and is made up of hamlets of houses separated by a swimming pool with an exotic effect, sand coloured, with crystal clear water and changing weather conditions. The contrast of the Caribbean style swimming pool with the beautiful rural scenery of the hills of Val di Sieve is breathtaking.
The accommodation
The farmhouse is a real oasis of peace and quiet: the lawn around it allows you to find secluded spaces and let the children play in the shade of the pine trees. The pool is for the exclusive use of guests, to ensure maximum privacy and tranquility.
The apartments and rooms are just a few meters from the pool and have been obtained from ancient structures attached to the main house. Furnished with the utmost care, they have living rooms, kitchen, large bedrooms and private bathrooms. Most of them have a fireplace and dedicated outdoor space. The rooms are comfortable and cosy, with old Tuscan style furniture, terracotta-tiled floors and beamed and terracotta-tiled ceilings. For an always romantic and charming atmosphere.
The accommodations can accommodate from 2 to 16 people requiring the exclusive use of the entire farmhouse of 300 square meters, otherwise 25 people rent the entire farmhouse (swimming pool for exclusive use included). The dimensions range from 34 square meters of the apartment on 2 floors to 120 square meters of the apartment designed for groups of friends or large families.
Courtesy-kit, bed linen and towels, free WiFi throughout the property, parking and various barbecue corners complete the offer!
4-legged friends are welcome: dogs even have a dedicated swimming pool for free!
Activities and surrounding
The area is isolated and quiet, but ideal for quick excursions to the cities of art and the most important places: 5 km away is the Scopeti train station from which you can reach, for example, the center of Florence in half an hour.
Trekking lovers can follow the paths marked by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) that connect it with Mugello. There is also an easily accessible path that winds through the woods, where many species of wild animals find refuge, with signs and equipped refreshment areas.
The agritourism is surrounded by pastureland meadows, which offer the opportunity to take beautiful walks and to pick the fragrant herbs and flowers, regaining the value of nature.
A few kilometers away there is also an equestrian center with the possibility of horseback riding and a restaurant pizzeria with panoramic views of the lake and carp fishing.
