Tenuta Cantagallo, belonging to our family since 1970, extends for 500 a. in the heart of Montalbano, green hilly area between Florence and Pisa, and it's still a family run farm; in fact all the members of the family live and work here and are happy to give the opportunity to special guests to experience the country life in its recently restored farmhouse dating back to the beginning of the 20th century.
The farmhouse lies in a panoramic location on the top of a hill, hence the name “Tenuta Cantagallo”, the place where the rooster sees the dawn and sings to the new day.
From the yard in front of the farmhouse you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding lush woods interrupted by olive yards and rows of vines recalling paintings of Renaissance.
The farmhouse secluded location is ideal for those who like relax, while the proximity with historical towns like Vinci, hometown of Leonardo, or cities like Florence, Pisa and Siena is ideal for those who prefer the historical, cultural and artistic aspects of Tuscan life and craft works
In the pergola with barbecue located in the yard opposite the farmhouse you can share a nice evening with the other guests, drinking a good glass of wine, or you can wait for a suggestive sunset, enjoying the breathtaking landscape over the ancient castles and towns of Capraia and Montelupo Fiorentino, renowned for the artistic ceramic production since the Middle Ages.

Inside the farmhouse, restored respecting original Tuscan style and building materials, there are 8 apartments (2-4-8 beds) with wooden ceilings, fireplace and floors with “cotto”, pleasantly furnished and provided with all comforts (telephone, TV, heating). The ground floor apartments are provided with private entrance and the first floor apartments dispose of a common entrance two by two.
All the apartments disposes of a private, furnished court- yard located in the main garden or in the panoramic terraces of the farmhouse.

The apartments Orto, Lavanda, Rosmarino and Vigneto are on the ground floor and provided with a private furnished yard; the apartments Papavero, Oliveto, Bosco and Ginestra are located on the first floor, where guests can enjoy a wonderful view over the surrounding vineyards and woods.

Our estate disposes of a comfortable restaurant where our guests can taste our DOCG and IGT wines and enjoy exclusive typical Tuscan dishes realized with our products or with genuine ingredients of the surrounding farmhouses.
