The estate stands in green surroundings, 10 km from the centre of Grosseto, near the Ombrone River, in a slightly elevated spot.
Poggio Cavallo is also ideal for parties, ceremonies, tasting, business meetings and events, which can be held both indoors (in the 200 m2 conference room) and outdoors.
The accommodation
Poggio Cavallo is a typical Tuscan Maremma estate, where the view stretches from olive groves to the surrounding green hills and where tourists enjoy the typical welcome of the Maremma people. Guests have access to various housing solutions that meet all the needs for a vacation hit and run or for a longer stay. The rooms that can accommodate up to four people on two levels are located on the ground floor overlooking the garden, while the villa has two double bedrooms furnished with period furniture and a private external bathroom. Room stays include a buffet breakfast. To those who prefer the comforts of an apartment, Tenuta Poggio Cavallo offers apartments of various sizes, with one or two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and bidet. The apartments are sold in the self-catering formula but guests can use the buffet breakfast as a supplement. The peace and tranquility of the structure have their culmination in the seasonal outdoor pool surrounded by olive trees. Guests have access to ample parking, free wi-fi and the possibility of using the restaurant as a supplement. The village of Istia d'Ombrone is 3 km away. and the city of Grosseto 6 km.

The region is peaceful, and the agriturismo is ideally located for visiting the sea, the Maremma Regional Park and the Roselle archaeology zone.
The Alberese coastline offers a wide range of leisure activities, including riding centres, and canoe hire for trips along the Ombrone. In the nearby hamlets you can enjoy cultural events such as the Grape Festivals of Scansano and Cinigiano.
The tuff towns of Pitigliano and Sorano, and the Saturnia Spa Centre are also worth a visit.
