We have traveled around in Tuscany and Umbria for 10 years, and visited a number of agriturismos. La Pineta is definately one of the best!
We were welcomed as old friends by the very nice family who run the agritursimo. They showed us around the area, gave us good tips about shopping and places to visit.
We stayed in both ”Baita” and ”Cottage” appartments. They are both very nice, but Baita is more suitable for a couple without children. The cottage was perfect for a family with two children, and very nicely furnished and equipped.
If we needed anything, we only asked Lidia or someone in the main house, and they would bring it to us. No problem!
The area that surrounds La Pineta is so beautiful! The views over the wineyards and olive grounds are stunning, and there are great tracks for running and hiking.
In may there is a big festa in Ramazzano, and the Ravano family took us along to the festivites. They told us about the ancient history and traditions and gave us a unik possibility to blend into the italian countrylife. We met so many friendly and kind people!
During our stay, their eldest daugther celebrated her 1. Comunione. They had a fantastic garden party for her, with a lot of family and friends. And of course they also invited us. It was like beeing in an Italian movie! Food, wine, laughter, children and adults had a great time. This really is a token of the italian hospitality, and is a memory we will tresure forever!
The grandfather, Antonio also became a good friend. He worked at the small farm in the agriturismo, and took care of the youngest grand-daughter while her parents were working. Our two children were always invited to come along, and every day the grandfather and the three little girls were playing, feeding the animals and looking at the vegetables growing. Antonio also took us to the small cantina where his grapes turned into wine. Very, very go
