Nido del falcone

The Vecchia Posta is an antic building, dated in the 15th century, it was enlarged in 1756 and there is a date-plate over the door of the ? Torre di Mezzodi ?. In 2002 a major restoration started, by then the house was only a ruin, the careful restoration was done with the antic techniques and methods, the materials where strictly natural.
Colonica has two charming apartments. The pool is cleaned with ozon and is very skinfriendly.
At the northwest side of the house, with the view to the Monte Cetona (Tuscany ) you can have the impression to lodge in a falcon's nest. The antique high walls of the podere look like an old watchtower and seam to end directly in a deep valley. The other side has two lovely overgrown, reed-covered terraces, which lead you in the garden.

La Torre de Mezzodi 5 persons 75 mq -It is composed in a spacious sitting room with an enormous fireplace, with an open gallery to the next floor from where you can also enjoy the view or the fireplace. A walk in cupboard leads the large bathroom; also there you have a ?fireplace?. Two wooden staircases lead you up into the tower to the balcony and the bedrooms. From there you have beautiful views over the landscape and to Monte Cetona. Near the entrance is a terrace with garden chairs and a table for you own use, surrounded by trees for you privacy and shade.
La Torre de Ponente 4 persons 65mq -This apartment has the rooms the highest of the towers and overlooks the entire countryside and the panorama is breathtaking! A roomy kitchen being the old stable is near the entrance from there you find also the wooden staircase, which leads you upstairs. The two bedrooms and the bathroom have a lot of light and for some quiet hours it is a lovely place to be.
La Murata de Aurora 4 persons 85 mq -This flat has the most stunning entrance, it leads you up the antic staircase through a stone arch past two over roofed terraces they face to the rising sun and it is a pleasure to take breakfast there or to have a sundowners. The large kitchen and sitting room is overlooked by a gallery (the bathroom is underneath) where you have a cosy place to read and relax. Next door and downstairs you have two bedrooms.
La Murata de Archi 2 persons 40 mq -A logging very romantic and practical it is on ground level and has no staircase. The kitchen is situated in the entrance, the open living room and the adjoining bedroom are the coolest of the house as they are on the ground floor and the apartment gets only the morning sun. In front of the main-door you will find a comfortable place to eat and relax under beautiful Acacias.

Barbacane is a carefully restored apartment for 5 persons in a large farmhouse. You have lots of space in and outside the house. There are two bedrooms upstairs with lovely views and wooden floor, antic furnishings in Umbrian style beautifully restored by the owners. On the ground floor you will find a lovely kitchen and a very special bathroom. In front of the kitchen door there are chairs under the pergola for relaxing and eating outside. The Osteria on the premises is about 500 meters away. You can have a simple Italian dinner with candlelight at the border of the pool.
