Today we went to lunch and, with the full restaurant, we ate well, and we were served in a reasonable time with great courtesy and availability '. We spent a wonderful day and would recommend it to everyone! Emilio and Alessandra

Review:

For the past four years we will spend one week every year with Alessandra and Enzo in "Gelso Nero" and every time it is pure relaxation! The rooms are housed in a former barn. They are simply furnished, but with love. There is a point deduction for the fact that there is no air conditioning. Although we liked it that never bothered, because the old building in June or September when we were there was always cool. I would imagine that it could in the summer but a little warm. The breakfast is Italian-easy, but with an excellent cafe and homemade jams. Lunch and dinner always are prepared by the landlady Alessandra-a dream! Great homemade pasta and meat dishes. Sometimes there's even pizza baked in our own pizza oven! The good kitchen has spread even among the residents, so that the restaurant at the weekend (it is also open for non-guests) is always very crowded and there many Italians celebrate their weddings, christenings and other family celebrations. During leisure, you can either lie by the pool or make excursions to biosphere Tiber or the Abbey of Farfa. And Tivoli (Hadrian's Villa, Villa d'Este) and Umbria are not far away, so there are many alternatives. And if you want to have the evening times throughout his rest, then you are in Gelso Nero just right, because they hear absolutely nothing, except the gentle tinkling of bells, which carry the sheep's neck. Long story short: I can "Gelso Nero" unreservedly recommend and come again this year!

We stayed at this B & B for a midweek break in May and found it directly on Google Maps. - Location: 9.5. The place is beautiful, nestled in the quiet countryside. The contact with nature, unspoilt and breathtaking views make your stay really special. Do not give him full marks just because the road is rather complicated and is easy to get lost (but that's part of the beautiful). - Breakfast: 4. for the price paid (75 € / night in two) is really poor. A cup of coffee, possibly mixed with a little 'of milk, toast with jam and butter. For that amount (the average of a B & B is 35 € / night per person), we were served breakfast in general much more abundant. - Room: 6. From a farm surrounded by nature, do not expect anything luxurious and indeed it did. The room is basic, no TV, refrigerator or dryer. And there may be. But some little more caution would not hurt (in the shower there were losses on 3 sides of the pillows were unlined and 4). - Hospitality: 5. The owners have been very kind and courteous (God forbid), but we often had the impression that the "intruders" rather than the "guests". We wanted to have lunch or dinner because it was a midweek stay (although the site is understood that the restaurant is always open to guests). Overall, therefore, we give the structure a 6. Essential is the word that comes most naturally associate.
