The farm covers at present 1,500 hectares, dedicated to vineyard, olive groves, sowable land, all organically run and woods where Maremmana, Chianina and Limousine breed cattle are bred in the wild, along with Maremmano mares and Cinta Senese pigs. It is in the land of the Butteri, where man’s intervention blends with the harmoniously wild landscape, that our organic products come to life: extra virgin olive oil “I Bandi”, DOC Montecucco red wine “I Bandi”, meat, charcuterie, legumes, cereals, flours as well as firewood, coal and cork.
Guests can be accommodated in the centre of the Tenuta, “La Fattoria”, which has always been the owner’s home and the heart of all activities. Not far, plunged in nature, the Podere (Farm) “I Roggeti”, once occupied by a family of sharecroppers, which has been renovated and made into flats, each renamed to evoke the activities that they once housed: Il Mandriolo, La Tinaia, L’Oleario, La Caciaia and La Colombaia.
Everyday life on the farm is open to the guests, who can participate to vintage, olive picking, go horse riding, experience educational rides, work with the cattle, and join the Butteri in their activities. You can also discover the wildlife on the banks of River Ombrone, on foot or by bike, experience the secrets of Maremmano cooking and of bread making, taste wines and products from the territory, attend basketry classes and enjoy a massage surrounded by Tuscany’s enchanting nature.

Plunged in the peace of the Maremmano countryside but also easily reachable, Agritursimo Tenuta di Paganico offers its guest six flats featuring different accommodation solutions (accommodating from two people to ten), five of which are part of the old renovated Podere “I Roggeti” and one of the “La Fattoria” the historical Villa of the Owners of the Tenuta.
The flats, rich in atmosphere and fitted with all comforts, bear the names of the activities that were once carried out in their rooms.
Podere I Roggeti features:
Il Mandriolo (where the cattle was accommodated in the old days),
La Tinaia (the old wine cave)
L'Oleario (the place where oil was stored….)
La Caciaia (…and that where cheese was kept)
La Colombaia (the top extension of the farm)
While the Casa Di Caccia (where hunters used to meet up in the evening)is part of the Owners’ Villa “La Fattoria”.
Extensive green spaces are reserved to each flat, barbecue, swimming pool, kitchen garden, mountain bikes, nature training track, table tennis, horse rides or simple walks across the Tenuta’s woods and planes watching herds of Chianina, Limousine, Charolais and of mythical Maremmana, both in the wild and not.
Maremma’s nature, the great protagonist at Tenuta Paganico, will do the rest with its sounds, colours, and even its silences, giving this holiday a special place in guest’s memories.
