The agriturismo
Giuseppina Di Nardo Azienda Agricola Caniloro is located in the municipality of Lanciano, on the Abruzzo coast, a few kilometres from Vasto, the Maiella National Park, Chieti and the Trabucchi coast.
In an old farmhouse of the beginning of the century, a farm has created a family environment where you can immerse yourself in traditions with typical dishes and educational farm activities for children.
It represents one of the last testimonies of the peasant culture of the Frentana area.
The accommodation
The farmhouse has 3 rooms and 3 apartments withunlimited wi-fi, air conditioning, heating and TV, with furnishings that recall the past, in fact, the time of grandparents. The wood is the protagonist, in an essential environment, but in which nothing is missing.
The apartments also have a fully equipped kitchen, refrigerator, electric stove and washing machine.
It is also possible to taste regional specialties made in the restaurant with products of the company:wine, oil, salami, cheese, bread, flour, legumes, jams, but also preserves and liquors. Behind every meal there is a story of tradition, custom and humble work, learned with the grandparents and kept intact year after year.
Activities and surrounding
On the farm, guests can participate or assist in the farm's activities, including grape harvesting, olive picking and animal care. Children can participate in educational farm days to promote and learn about the life and traditions of the rural environment.
The location is strategic: on one side you can reachLanciano, a medieval town that, among the various sites of historical interest, presents the church of the Eucharistic Miracle; on the other side you can go down into the valleys, where the Sangro river flows and where you can find theOasis of Serranella, the WWF protected area.
With only thirty minutes by car you can reach the first beaches of the Trabocchi coast and the numerous villages of the Maiella park.
