The agriturismo
In a setting of lush vegetation, clear waters, unspoilt nature and medieval villages is the Agriturismo open since January 2016.
It is surrounded by the extraordinary panorama of the Tirino valley, where the senses of sight and palate blend with the products of this land.
It has been renovated in harmony with the surrounding landscape and with anti-seismic and green building techniques.
The accommodation
In a scenery of clear water, of flourishing vegetation, unspoiled nature and medieval villages, lies our farmhouse opened on january 2016. In harmony with the surrounding landscape, with antiseismic and green building techniques, we renovated a constraction belonging to the family farm which for centuries cultivated on these lands. Currently we produce ancient cereals like Spelled and Solina, legumes, extra vergin olive oil, wine, truffles, saffron, vegetables, herbs, fruits and berries in organic mode. Everything that we produce is used in the kitchen of our accommodation where our agrichef creates dishes remaining true to the tradition of Abruzzo, but also with some imagination. To completion, we have recently opened our bed and breakfast with four bedrooms furnished with simple, confortable and romantic interior decoration. The rooms are placed in a beautiful setting and they are all equipped with large private bathroom, air conditioning, underfloor heating, led lighting, natural fabrics, memory foam pillows and mattresses, kettle, tea bags and herbal infusions, phon, magnifying mirror. The rooms overlook a cozy patio with confortable seats and a lawn with relaxing sunbeds. All around, peace, scent and colors of the immaculate nature, breathtaking views of the peaks of the Gran Sasso, the Maiella and Morrone, just a thirty- minute drive from L'Aquila, Sulmona and Pescara. We are immersed in a land of ancient history that has seen the succession of different civilizasions including the proud Italic people of the famous Warrior of Capestrano, the Roman Empire and the Lords of the Medici and Malatesta. Our territory has also given birth to S. Giovanni from Capestrano, innovative jurist, proud fighter, precursor of the modern Europe. Our farmhouse is located a few kilometers from historic centers as Capestrano, Castel del Monte, Calascio and Santo Stefano di Sessanio, villages among the most beautiful in Italy. A short walk from the complex you can ejoy the passing of Tirino river and the calm waters of Lake Capodacqua that keeps in its depths the remains of the old stone mill belonged to our family.
