The agriturismo
This agriturismo is located in the heart of a centuries-old olive grove, set between the massif of the Morrone and Maiella, in a natural setting of exceptional splendour.
The facility is set up to offer peace and quiet and relaxation, as well as offering a number of sports. Guests can go on relaxing hikes or ride mountain bikes along the trails and a paragliding takeoff and landing point is situated about 2 km away.
The accommodation
An appropriately renovated rural building is composed of two apartments and a large hall where guests can socialise with each other or consult material describing nearby activities and places; tastings of organic extra-virgin olive oil made on the farm are organised.
The two wooden chalets built using whole tree trunks are more recent and they each have a large veranda furnished with tables and benches.
Guests also have use of undercover spaces equipped with barbecues for tasty meat and the renowned mutton on skewers.
Activities and surrounding
Guests can cool off in the swimming pool (1.50 m deep, 12.5 x 8.5 m), which also has gazebos, sun umbrellas and deck chairs; the tennis court (20 x 40m) can also be used to play seven-a-side soccer; the bocce green and ping-pong table and some bikes complete the sports facilities.
The village of Tocco da Casauria is only 500 m from the farm; there is an area for paragliding plus other recommended attractions, including the Convent of Santa Maria del Paradiso, the wind farm (four, latest generation wind turbines), wine estates, the local oil producing cooperative, the factory where the famous Centerba liqueur is made.
Nearby places to visit include the Abbey of San Clemente (3 Km), the Centre of the Parco Nazionale della Maiella (Maiella national park) in Caramanico Terme (20 Km), the Church of the Volto Santo di Manoppello (20 Km), the beaches ofPescara and Francavilla al Mare, just 30 minutes away.
