Strada provinciale 266, 73040 Alliste (Lecce)
The farm stands in Alliste, 500 metres from the sea and the Gallipoli-Santa Maria di Leuca road.
It takes its name from an ancient cistern, used by shepherds, which collected rainwater.
Guests can enjoy the gentle breeze that blows through the branches of the olive trees, the mild climate and the beautiful views of the sea on the horizon.
The farm spreads over 10 hectares cultivated mainly with olive trees, but also with myrtle plants, agave, Barbary figs, capers and almonds. The estate is surrounded by typical dry stone walls, and guests can admire numerous “trulli” dwellings, which once housed shepherds and farmers.
The farmhouse has been converted into seven spacious rooms with sea views, overlooking the garden with its scents of lavender, rosemary, thyme and laurel.
A range of eco-friendly materials were used for the renovation, along with native stone, wrought iron, wood for the roofs and solid chestnut for the interiors.
The agriturismo’s energy comes from solar and photovoltaic panels.
The rooms feature minibars, air conditioning, flat screen TVs and a Wi-Fi zone. Private parking.
All rooms enjoy undercover private outdoor space where guests can enjoy breakfast to the breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea.
Nearby you'll find a pharmacy, a small supermarket and a restaurant-pizzeria.
The many beaches are easily accessible on foot. In the commune of Alliste you’ll find the coast of Postorosso and Capilungo: the beaches are flat and rocky, but easily accessible to families with children. Guests can also enjoy excursions on foot or by bicycle through the countryside of Alliste and Felline, among age old olive trees, sampling their oil at the olive presses. 20 km takes you to Gallipoli.
