The agriturismo
On the easternmost side of Italy, "Masseria Le Creste" was born , a farmhouse that embraces the philosophy of simplicity, offering the authenticity oforganic farming and the relaxation of the countryside, for a vacation dedicated to the Salento sea, culture and good food.
The accommodation
The facility is a true old-fashioned family-run farmhouse.
Among the various services, it also offers dinner where you can taste typical local and organic products: vegetables, vegetables, meat, fruit. All recipes are made with zero-mileage ingredients, to savor and discover the authentic flavors of Apulian culinary tradition and delight, in this way, the palate of every guest.
Among the dishes offered are: Sagne n'cannulate with homegrown tomato sauce, horse pieces, tasty desserts and liqueurs. Also unmissable are the excellent cheeses produced locally. Here, in fact, there is a dairy where, the owners themselves, daily take care of cheese production.
The pride of the property are the rooms: six independent apartments in which to relax away from all noise in the silence of nature, equipped with TV, private bathroom, air conditioning, refrigerator and free wi-fi.
In the morning, a pleasant awakening is guaranteed by a hearty breakfast made with genuine, homemade products such as mulberry, white mulberry and medlar jams.
Activities and surrounding
Agriturismo Masseria "Le Creste" is located in the heart of Salento, in the open countryside, in the feud of Otranto, a town on the Salento peninsula, in the middle between its tourist port, from which it is about 5 km away, and the resort of Porto Badisco.
The property is located on the Adriatic coast and a few hundred meters from the Punta Palascìa Lighthouse, the easternmost point in Italy, which, as per tradition, every year, on New Year's Eve draws a multitude of people waiting for the New Year's Eve sunrise at the foot of the lighthouse, being the first sunrise in Italy.
Agriturismo Masseria "Le Creste" enjoys priceless tranquility , for a vacation in Salento away from crowded places and city noise. The narrow road that runs alongside the masseria is ideal for long walks or bike rid es in contact with nature, being in the Regional Natural Park "Costa Otranto - Santa Maria di Leuca e Bosco di Tricase."
Just outside the farmhouse you can catch a glimpse of the sea. The property is located exactly a stone's throw from the Punta Palascia Lighthouse.
You cannot miss a visit to the beautiful Otranto: the Castle with its art exhibitions, the Cathedral, the center; but also the bauxite quarry, with a beautiful "green lake."
Suggestive are the canoe trips to the Alimini Lakes, places of botanical and faunal interest, with the possibility, for animal lovers, of horseback riding thanks to the presence of private stables. Salento as a whole welcomes its visitors in an atmosphere of great and prolonged celebration, offering them many opportunities for recreation and cultural enrichment.
