The farmhouse of Masseria Le Mesole occupies the buildings once used as the home of the settlers who worked and lived in the Masseria.
The accommodation
The Casa del Limone (Lemon House) comprises two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room with fireplace and the use of a beautiful walled mature garden centered with a lemon tree. The house is air conditioned. Can accommodate 4 to 5 persons.
The House is located within the walls of Masseria Le Mesole, one of the oldest and majestic masseria in the territory of Crispiano. The masseria is surrounded by acres of olive groves, wheat fields and pastures.
A spectacular gravina (gorge) runs across the masseria le Mesole, as a backbone which cuts in half the valley, overlooked on one side by the farm buildings, and on the other side by the west facing secular olive trees. The gravina adds an element of unexpected wilderness to the otherwise tidy and harmonious landscape of the Apulian countryside.
The buildings of the masseria date back to the XVIII century and, together with the many ancient agricultural tools located in the farm, represent a testimony of Italian rural life of the last century.
Today Le Mesole retains its original structure; it continues to be an agricultural farm, but the buildings have been restored to the highest standards and only using original materials. It is ideally suited for whoever wishes to spend time in the Southern Italian countryside, enjoying excursions, sport activities or absolute relax surrounded by the silence of nature and the feeling of the past.

Activities and surrounding
Le Mesole is the ideal starting point for exploring Apulia.
30 minutes from the Ionian Sea and 45 minutes from the Adriatic Sea, the farm is ideal for a holiday full of sea, nature and culture.
The beaches, free or for a fee, are less than an hour's drive away.
The Bosco delle Pianelle, about 10 minutes away, is ideal for excursions on foot or on the back of a donkey. At the same distance, the Gravina di Massafra is also a fascinating destination for those who love trekking, discovering finds of ancient civilizations in a natural setting typically Mediterranean.
Martina Franca, a baroque town famous for its natural and architectural beauties and its gastronomic specialities, and the whole Itria Valley, famous for its trulli, can be reached in less than 30 minutes.
Lecce, about an hour and 15 minutes by car, is a baroque city of rare beauty and full of life.
Matera, with its Sassi, European Capital of Culture in 2019, is also about an hour and 15 minutes away by car.
And also Taranto, the city of the two seas, with its charming old town, the fish market, the Rotating Bridge, the promenade, the columns of the ancient Doric temple, the Archaeological Museum, is worth a visit.
