The agriturismo
Masseria Gargaleo is located in Nova Siri (MT), a few kilometres from the golden beaches of the Ionian Sea, in Basilicata. It is ideal for a relaxing but stimulating holiday: the position in which it is located is extraordinary for being able to set out to discover medieval villages of rare beauty or to enjoy the silence and peace of the Lucanian countryside. On the farm you can buy organic vegetables and fruit picked just for you that day, and the staff will be happy to advise you on places not to be missed and the most interesting excursions.
The accommodation
We want to be your home in the countryside: a comfortable apartment with antique furniture in the Basilicata countryside, a few kilometers from the sea. The ideal place to relax or to leave to discover Matera and Basilicata. The Lentisco apartment has got a large bedroom, living room with kitchenette, private bath, fireplace, air conditioning, color TV. Outside large spaces with tables and chairs, and a lovely playground for all ages children.
Activities and surrounding
The farm is in the countryside of Nova Siri, where you can discover the Baths of St. Alessio, from the Roman era, or the Roman baths of the ancient city of Siris, or the waterfalls of Zagarij.
At 20 km Valsinni, Policoro, Tursi, Rocca Imperiale, Nocara, Roseto Capo Spulico , which are very characteristic medieval villages, or have archaeological sites Magnogreche.
At 40 km Metaponto, Magna Graecia city with a splendid archaeological area and the remains of a Doric temple.
At 80 km Matera, city of the Sassi, Unesco heritage.
80 km away Taranto, capital of Magna Graecia, with a splendid archaeological museum.
