via Fontanella, 17 -, Massa Lubrense 80061 Massa Lubrense (Naples)
Family owned biological farm holidays situated in the heart of the protected marina area of Punta Campanella, offers lodgings in elegant rooms with spacious green areas available for the use of guests.
The Farm is situated only 100 metres from the sea, fitting perfectly into the antique village of Marina della Lobra, immerged amongst the centuries old olive trees and the perfume of the lemon trees.
The Farm is composed two distinct and independent units:
the old farmhouse which houses 4 double rooms, the old mill which has now been made into a restaurant, in which, is beautifully demonstrated the antique hand press for the pressing of the olives;
a spacious terrace in the shade of the lemon trees that is an ideal place to taste our specialities prepared with biological products from our garden; the kitchen, cellar and the storehouse for the oil.
The second unit called ‘La Colombaia’ (the dovecote) is an old humble stone cottage which has been recently restructured, that has 5 double rooms, furnished with every modern comfort, heating, air conditioning, satellite TV with period furniture.
All the rooms have an internal bathroom with a specious panoramic terrace.
During the holiday one can relax in the shade of the lemon trees whilst reading a good book or watch the continuous work in the garden, which despite the better and more modern techniques, continues to be carried out, above all, by hand.
Assist in the making of a pergola or see the harvesting of the grapes suspended from the lemon trees, admire the majestic beauty of our olive groves which can make one re-live the emotions belonging to a farming community of a by-gone past.
The Farm enjoys the advantages of a position in the country but is excellently placed inside the tourism circuit of the Sorrento and Amalfi Peninsula, in a few minutes it is easy to reach fascinating and attractive locations such as: Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Pompei, and Sorrento.
A few minutes away it is possible to visit the protected area of the ‘Punta Campanella’ which protects and makes it possible to see marine scenery of incomparable beauty.
3 wownderfull nights in a dreamy place with good food' good wine and best olive oil. and with awarm hospitality of Tulio.
We have been visiting the Sorrentine/Amalfi coast annually for decades, but this was one of the most wonderful places we have stayed. From the moment you arrive Tullio and his Mama look after you treating you like one of the family. We had a double room a minute walk away from the main building 'La Colombaia' and when you opened the terrace doors you looked straight over to Capri. Room was spotless with nice antique furnishings and great A/C and lovely ensuite. Breakfast was a great selection of cereals, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurts, eggs [straight from the hen that morning] and addictive home made bread straight out the oven and coffee that only Italians know how to properly make. We had dinner 4 out of our 7 nights [you can book it in the morning] and it was always fantastic, even the locals come up and get Mama to make their Pizza. The farm grounds are wonderful if you just want a quiet and peaceful place to get away from it all or you can get the free map showing all the ancient Mule Tracks and you can walk for miles without seeing any vehicles or even people, even all the way to Sorrento. Up it the main town of Massa Lubrense you can get the local bus into Sorrento that only takes 15 minutes and runs every 20 minutes or you can walk down to the Harbour of Marina de Lobra and get a boat trip over to Capri. From the harbour you can walk round and have a swim in the sea or stop at the famous 'Angelo's Taverna' for a little refreshment or bite to eat. Overall a fantastic experience.
La Lobra was a wonderful starting point to get to know the beautiful coast and to enjoy the fantastic views. We had booked the holiday apartment La Dependance with Tullio - which is about 15 minutes walk from the main house - and we found a sparkling clean modern apartment with a grandiose terrace. Tullio and his team have created a little paradise with the organic farm and spoil their guests with delicious homemade specialities. Tullio's tips were very valuable to us. Whether Bagni Regina, Punta Campanella, Baia di Leranto, by boat to Capri or even on a direct footpath to Sorrento 6km away - we all enjoyed our excursions very much and would have liked to have had a few more days. Dear Tullio, thank you very much for these beautiful days and best regards!
