The agriturismo
At the heart of the Eastern Friuli Hills, a few km from Cividale, a Lombard city recognised as a Unesco World Heritage Site, the agriturismo was born from the renovation of an old farm building, which today houses 9 guest rooms with views of the Friuli mountains.
As well as producing prized Colli Orientali del Friuli wine, the farm is part of the Slow Rural Produce Club, which brings together accommodation structures offering wholesomeness, tradition and a family setting, located in rural areas and nature zones, away from towns and cities. The agriturismo is also a member of the Gusti in FVG (Tastes in Friuli Venice Giulia) Produce Club, a group of providers offering quality, wholesomeness, professionalism, cordiality and unique produce.
The accommodation
Relais La Collina offers 9 guest rooms (6 of which include a third bed). One room, on the ground floor, is suitable for disabled guests. All rooms include private bathrooms, minibars, TVs and air conditioning. The first floor rooms enjoy terraces, while the two ground floor rooms offer direct access to the swimming pool area.
As well as the outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by a relaxation area with umbrellas and sunbeds, the agriturismo also offers ample parking and free Wi-Fi.
A generous breakfast is served each morning on the scenic terrace. The agriturismo also serves delicious lunches and dinners of cured meats and local cheeses, the farm's own herbs and, depending on the season, dishes of courgette, asparagus, mushrooms and pumpkin. Typical dishes include: toc in braide (polenta with creamy cheese), cjarsons (a filled pasta dish), lasagne, blecs alla selvaggina (buckwheat pasta with game), gnocchi with duck ragù, frico (fried potato and cheese) and frittata, cheek braised in refosco wine, and desserts such as strudel and panna cotta.
