The agriturismo
On the Leonessa Plain, 1000 metres above sea level, covering about 20 hectares of land, cultivated in the traditional manner with cereals and pulses, particularly spelt, lentils and the famous local potatoes.
The agriturismo was established in 2011 through a courageous initiative by Monia and Giovanni, who decided to leave Rome to bring their grandparents’ homes back to life, resuming the cultivation of the fields they had inherited.
The accommodation
Two houses are available (a third is currently being renovated), equipped with a coffee machine, microwave, toaster, dishes, pots and cooking utensils:
- La Casa di Paolo, the pride of the farm, is finished in original local stone, with wooden beams and roofs. On two floors, it features: 2 bathrooms (one with shower), one double bedroom with mezzanine floor, with TV, one twin bedroom, a lovely balcony overlooking the small village church, a large living/dining room with TV-DVD and fireplace.
- La Casa di Antonio, on one floor, features one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, a lounge/dining room with TV, a fireplace and a spacious bathroom with shower.
There is also a small wellness centre with 5-seater whirlpool and a sauna, housed in a stone building with barrel vaults, self-contained with a fully-equipped changing room.
