The agriturismo
Agriturismo La Verde Rosa, with swimming pool and whirlpool, is the ideal place to relax, immersed in the quiet of nature.
Located in the lower Maremma, on the border between Tuscany and Lazio, 3 km from the sea, it enjoys a vast panorama, in an area of southern Etruria where the passage of the Etruscan civilization is still present.
The accommodation
The agritourism farm was established in 2002 when Gianni and Adriana, the owners, purchased land bordering the one they inherited from their parents.
The farm covers 7 hectares planted with olive trees, vineyards, vegetables and cereals, Raspberries and MORE. The structure was built entirely by Gianni, so attention has been paid to the smallest details, from the roof with chestnut beams, the arches made of sandblasted bricks, to the columns created with stone collected from the fields. The restaurant offers typical dishes of both meat and fish. There are many desserts made with LAMPONS from our own cultivation. We make jams from our fruits.
The farmhouse consists of apartments, studios or rooms. There are apartments with one or two bedrooms, bathroom, living room with kitchenette, porch or private terrace with table and chairs.
Each apartment is equipped with air conditioning, washing machine, TV, refrigerator, oven, iron, hair dryer, as well as kitchenware and bed, bath and kitchen linens. There is also a hobby room complete with tables and chairs, with various board games and some books, available to guests.
The LAVANDA apartment is a cottage that is part of the farmhouse, located 400 meters from the main building.
The swimming pool with Jacuzzi offers moments of complete relaxation and, with the arrival of evening, gives an evocative vision of colors alternating in the water.
The large garden, with olive trees over 50 years old, welcomes you with its winding paths and gazebos equipped with tables and chairs, where you can enjoy a nice barbecue, cooked in the barbecues available.
In addition, guests can enjoy bicycles for all ages, table tennis, foosball, games for the little ones, and shaded parking.
Activities and surrounding
Those who like peace and quiet can try their hand at long walks in the countryside or relax by the pool, caressed by the sea breeze that arrives mid-morning.
The sea, with typical Mediterranean scrub behind it, boasts some of the cleanest waters in Italy.
Nearby riding stables provide opportunities for horseback riding, while in Viterbo and Saturnia one can relax in spas. Interesting is a visit to the Giardino Dei Tarocchi (Tarot Garden ) 2 km from the accommodation.
Nearby, about half an hour by car, you can visit Monte Argentario, Porto Ercole, Porto Santo Stefano (from here you can leave for excursions to the islands of Giglio, Elba and Giannutri), Pitigliano, Sovana, Capalbio. Within an hour's drive is ROME.
Also of interest are the town of Tarquinia with its Etruscan tombs and museum, the medieval towns of Viterbo and Orvieto; Vulci with its nature and archaeological park (François's tomb).
An hour away is Rome, rich in art and history.
