The agriturismo
It is truly a village hotel, located across the small rural town of Collina di Montefortino. Located inside the Monti Sibillini National Park, the agriturismo offers a welcoming air, full of traditions.
Consisting of four farmhouses, well restored according to green building practices, at 750 m above sea level, the accommodation facilities provide a suggestive ambiance and breathtaking views.
The accommodation
The four apartments carefully conserve the traditional old-world feelings and the original architecture, which highlights the characteristic stucco stone, while applying green building techniques in the renovations. Each apartment has an equipped kitchen, fireplace or wood-burning stove, bedroom with bathroom, and glass shower stall.
An outbuilding allows you to truly live a “country” vacation. The house is dug out of the rock, as it was 70 years ago, but with a separate entrance, bathroom and shower.
For guest’s comfort, the agriturismo offers:
- Vegetable gardens where guests can pick their own vegetables
- pool with whirlpool and color therapy (9 x 4 m, h 1.4 m), with sun loungers and umbrellas
- common multipurpose living room where guests can meet and relax at any time of day
- cellar rooms with wine tasting with exclusive decor
- museum of country life with farm tools and objects used by farming families for handcrafts
- common park areas and areas assigned to each farmhouse, a garden for relaxing, a sundeck, breakfast, barbecue area with chairs and accessories
Activities and surrounding
Guests can participate in guided tours of the agriturismo's farm, the woods, among the streams, old mule trails and chestnut orchards; growing and picking vegetables and fruits; tastings; and classes to learn to make homemade pasta.
For nature lovers, the hotel is the perfect starting point for reaching the Sibylline Mountains, Lago di Pilato, the Castelluccio "Great Plain”, and the Gola dell'Infernaccio (Hell’s Gorge).
There are also historic locations such as the Piazza del Popolo in Ascoli Piceno, the Cathedral in Fermo, and numerous medieval towns.
The surrounding hill farms offer wine tasting of local wines at their wine cellars.
