Among age old olive trees, near Cingoli – the balcony to the Marche – an old seventeenth century stone farmhouse just 45 minutes from the Conero Riviera, part of an 18 hectare organic farm which produces and sells organic Mignola extra virgin olive oil, a variety native to the Cingoli region.
Family run, the agriturismo was born in 1998 from the renovation of a farmhouse dating back to the 1600s, originally the site of a small convent, then passed on to the noble Castiglioni family (related to Pope Pius VIII), before coming into the possession of the current owners. The property offers 5 rooms with bathrooms and air conditioning, split between the main house and the guesthouse close to the swimming pool, some of which feature wooden beams, stone and wrought iron.
The dining room with open fireplace and the cellar with its characteristic “neviera”, a room once used to store snow, creating a kind of refrigerated cell, are ideal for hosting dinners of typical Marche dishes and produce. In the farmhouse, nestled at the centre of the estate and surrounded by 1500 m2 of gardens, there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen with open fireplace.
Outside you’ll find a relaxation zone with scenic views of the Conero Riviera, a garden, swimming pool, solarium, spa with heated whirlpool, colour therapy and ozone therapy, bocce, ping pong and a children's play area.
Guests can get involved in the olive harvest, tour the olive press, taste the farm's oil and wine from local wine cellars, or enjoy a range of sports: motocross, mountain biking with excursions along signposted tracks (guides available), rowing and pedalos on Cingoli’s lake, trekking, horseback excursions and tennis.
