Via Calderoni, 39, Lerma 15070 Lerma (Alessandria)
The Mulino di Lerma is found in the woods of the Spinola medieval castle, right outside the town of Lerma, nestled in the Parco Naturale delle Capanne di Marcarolo. Located on the stream Piota, which flows below a spectacular rock 70-80 meters in height, thus forming, along its course, small lakes with rocks and fine sandy shores, as well as another lake where you may sunbathe. This pool of water and centuries-old forest at the castle offer truly enchanting and unique views.
An important activity here is the production of hydroelectric energy: the Mulino di Lerma is in fact an Enel certified power plant: a small dam from the stream carries the water into a turbine and thus makes the agriturismo independent in energy production (school tours can be organized).
This agriturismo offers 8 renovated rooms, 5 with private bath (room service 24 hours).
There is also a restaurant with two halls, an ancient one (inside), ideal for reunions, and a wooden and glass veranda overlooking a vast garden and fruit orchard nestling guests in nature.
The cooking gives preference to ancient recipes and natural products. All food is homemade, from bread to wine, to ensure the best quality, safety, and digestibility. The menu offers vegetable, meat, and fish appetizers. Pasta includes tagliatelle or tagliolini with marjoram pesto, or with lemon, boar, hare, artichoke, zucchini, and shrimps, plus much more. House specialties include stuffed pasta and especially the ravioli antica Genova al tucco or with a Pre-Columbian medieval sauce, without tomatoes.
The restaurant is open from Thursday to Sunday until 15:00. For groups, upon reservation, hours may change.
The Mulino di Lerma is qualified as a vegetable garden, orchard, forest for the production of wood for heating and a chicken coop with numerous chickens offering fresh eggs.
A large parking lot, next to the lake, may also host buses.
