Barge (Cuneo) Code 1649
Agribenessere Agli Abatti farmhouse is located about 4.5 km from the center of Barge and 4 km from Paesana, in the province of Cuneo, in a mountainous area at 800 mslm, right at the foot of Monviso. With 4 rooms, revisited traditional cuisine, a heated saltwater pool and whirlpool area, it is ideal for all those seeking a relaxing vacation discovering Piedmontese traditions and good taste.
Abatti is a small hamlet, where Arianna and Alberto's ancestors were born and raised. Thanks totheir love for their land and traditions, the family has managed to recover the hamlet and create a place where time stands still, immersed in the peace of nature, surrounded by chestnut trees, orchards, vineyards, meadows and pastures, cultivated organically using biodynamic methods.
The farmhouse has 4 rooms, all of which have been completely restored in a way that keeps the imprint of local traditions alive. To each room belongs a story to be discovered.
In addition, it is equipped with a meeting room for companies: the room set up for the educational farm can be used for companies that want to grow their managers and create their strategies in a quiet place that does not give rise to distractions.
The kitchen aims to bring home-grown products to the table, between traditional and new dishes. The goal is to bring back the cuisine of our grandparents, revisiting it if needed, but still maintaining its main characteristics, which are simplicity and goodness.
We then move on to the farmhouse's strong point: the heated swimming pool, with salt water and whirlpool, built with naturalistic engineering so that you can feel in close contact with nature.
The property covers about 190,000 square meters of unspoiled environment, crossed by a stream that in its path between creeks and jumps creates small lakes and natural water features, creating a complete ecosystem.
Opportunities are offered to participate in educational tours that include field experiences, contact between the urban and rural worlds and workshop activities on processing, from wheat to bread, fruit to jam, grapes to wine.
Children can enjoy traditional and recreational ancient games in the middle of the forest, built entirely from natural materials, wood and stones.
It is also possible to see up close and interact with the endangered breed of Piedmont Savoy sheep , a breed that the family is trying to recover and bring back to life. There is the opportunity to participate in guided tours in which the animals and their behaviors will be described in detail.
Walks and riding lessons are organized, for young and old alike.
