The agriturismo
Agriturismo Cascina Varìe is located among the hills in Castagnito, a small village in the Roero.
The facility is the ideal place to taste the dishes of the ancient Piedmontese cuisine: typical recipes, local products cooked according to tradition, unique flavors to be savored in the warm family atmosphere found in the halls of the Agriturismo.
The Agriturismo is a place to relax, where you can admire not only the wonderful landscape offered by nature, but also the pond with geese and ducks.
The accommodation
Theold farmhouse recently renovated by the Saorin family includes 10 elegantly furnished rooms, an accommodation with a kitchenette, a particularly well-kept breakfast room and a cozy restaurant room, made more traditional by its Piedmontese vaults.
The rooms are divided into 3 categories:
Comfort: equipped with comfortable beds, TV SAT, balcony, en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. In some rooms it is possible to add a third bed.
Superior: equipped with high quality beds, TV SAT, terrace. The furniture is rich in details, the bathroom is equipped with facilities such as toilet and a large shower finished with fine materials.
Suite: furniture rich in details, offers larger spaces ensuring greater relaxation. One of the 2 suites has a natural stone fireplace.
Lodging: modern and well-kept furnishings, kitchenette, spacious bathroom with large shower, toilet, bidet and sink, satellite TV. Accommodation is located on the ground floor unlike all rooms which are on the first floor with staircase access.
Guests will be provided with shampoo, bath shower, bath linens and hair dryer. Upon request with a small surcharge, it is possible to request a welcome in the room with flowers and/or bottle.
In the morning a tasty continental or buffet breakfast in the breakfast room.
Accompanied by the best wines of the area, the kitchen offers tasty and refined dishes handed down from generations, always maintaining the true flavors and extraordinary simplicity. The farmhouse offers its guests, strictly homemade dishes, with quality raw materials, obtained from the processing of their own land.
Cascina Varìe is the ideal place for events such as: baptisms, communions, weddings, lunches and dinners, and any small event you want to celebrate.
In summer , apericena can be organized upon request where a rich buffet will allow you to enjoy a taste of this typical cuisine.
Pets are allowed at the facility, at the discretion of the management and upon advance request. The price of the stay, may in this case be subject to an increase.
Activities and surrounding
Cascina Varìe is the perfect place for children to discover contact with nature and animals. At their disposal, the farm offers anarea dedicated to play as long as they are always accompanied by their parents.
Upon request, with Chiara, it is possible to organize cooking classes in foreign languages as well.
The agritourism is in a strategic location, halfway between the cities of Alba and Asti, about a 40-minute drive from Turin, near the towns of Guarene, Magliano Alfieri, Govone (where the magical Christmas village is set up) Barbaresco, Barolo (renowned for their wine), Serralunga, La Morra, Pollenzo (a village in the Cuneo area that is a hamlet of Bra, rich in history and culture).
An ideal place for a mountain biking vacation or a relaxing stay among nature, the Agriturismo offers the possibility of long and fascinating walks among the surrounding vineyards , even on horseback.
In September, there are some important events not to be missed:
-in the Asti area, Sagre di Asti, Douja D'Or and Palio di Asti.
-in Bra, Cheese, a cheese fair.
In October you can go in search of the precious White Truffle of Alba. Whereas from October to mid-November you can visit the Alba Truffle Fair.
