The agriturismo
Small family-run concern immersed among ancient olive groves, mastic trees, holm oaks, myrtle and strawberry trees. In the Olbia district just 5 km from Arzachena on the Emerald Coast.
The accommodation
The historic herder's lodge, known locally as a "stazzo" dating back to the 19th century and an iconic symbol of the local Gallurian architecture, renovated recently, plus a new structure, both built entirely of granite with cotto tiled floors and Juniper wood roofs, perfectly nestled in their natural surroundings.
The traditionally styled guest rooms all have an independent entrance, bath anteroom and en suite bathroom and can comfortably sleep from 2 to 4. The rooms have air conditioning, TV, mini-bar, and are provided with bed linen and bathroom linen. The outside area is equipped with tables and chairs while the garden features sunbeds and use of the barbecue range on request.
A buffet breakfast is served in a renovated poultry house with fresh produce almost entirely sourced from the farm; the structure also offers a recreation area.
Activities and surrounding
The sea and breathtaking beaches of the Emerald Coast are just 15 minute away, from Baja Sardinia to PortoCervo. Golf course at Arzachena 11 km from the structure and Excursions from Palau in pleasure craft to explore the enchanting La Maddalena archipelago and the island of Caprera.
There are numerous archaeological sites in the surrounding area with the fascinating La Prisgiona nuraghes opened to visitors just two years ago, the Giganti and Li Longhi tombs, necropoli and tempietti.
