Contrada San Nicola snc (s.p. 12 naro-campobello di licata), San Nicola 92028 Naro (Agrigento)
Fifteen hectares of agrituristismo set in the hills in the Agrigento hinterland. Typical late 19th century Sicilian farm, skilfully renovated and retaining the original architectural features, welcomes visitors from everywhere to a family ambience.
In the rural Sicilian culture, the name of this facility indicated the inner courtyard of the farm, where the day’s activities took place. Around this courtyard stood the manor house, on the first floor, the peasants’ homes, the barns, the storehouses, the cellars and the olive mill all on the ground floor.
Today, the rooms have been skilfully restored in keeping with their historical value. The facility has eight rooms, double, triple, quadruple or quintuples, including two that are equipped to accommodate the disabled. They all have their own bathroom and air-conditioning, are comfortably furnished and come with all amenities, their own special assets and retaining the original timber trusses.
The facility has one large apartment with two separate bedrooms, a bathroom, and a terrace with scenic view.
The facility has a large restaurant dining room where traditional meals are prepared using local products and washed down with the excellent wine made on the farm. Meals are accompanied by seasonal fruit picked on the spot.
The dining room is also available for banquets and events. Guests can take long walks, or ride horses, completely surrounded by nature.
The town of Naro, “La Fulgentissima” as it was called by Emperor Frederic II, is only a five-minute drive away and is full of historical testimonies from the Medieval and Baroque periods. On the contrary, the golden beaches of San Leone are only 15 minutes away by car and guests can enjoy a relaxing swim by day or enjoy the sparkling night life. The city of Agrigento and the Valley of Temples are not far away.

Agritourismo Baglio San Nicola is a perfect spot for a relaxing vacation. You could either stay on site or use it as a base for exploring other interesting places which are a short drive away. The building is an impressive stone structure high on a hill with olives, grapes, and pomegranates growing all around. The infinity pool area is so serene. Marta was the most attentive host, always there to help or explain, and with the most pleasant disposition. One of the best offerings of Baglio San Nicola is the dining experience. We ate here each night of our stay and were duly impressed (a feast for both the palate and the eyes). Baglio San Nicola receives our highest recommendation for anyone visiting the area. While at Baglio San Nicola, we visited Villa Romana del Casale, one of the richest, largest, and varied collections of Roman mosaics in world. We also went to Valle Dei Templi (Valley of the Temples), an impressive number of well preserved monuments over a vast expanse of area (a don't miss attraction). When you go, make sure to park at the bottom lot and take a shuttle taxi to the top. That way, you will be walking downhill as you view the temples. One final note, Google Maps couldn't locate Baglio San Nicola by address and we had to find it using GPS coordinates.
A beautiful courtyard with nicely decorated and very clean rooms, beautiful pool, excellent dinner. Great wines, nice breakfast. Very friendly staff. Quiet location, approx. 30 min. to Agrigento. Absolutely worthwhile.

We had a wonderful stay at Baglio San Andrea. The location is idyllic (the agriturismo lies in the middle of 20 hectares of olives groves, vineyards, pomegranate and citrus groves); the food was incredible and amazing value (EUR25 per night for four exquisite courses); and the hospitality was wonderful. Marta couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful - she was a lovely manager. The owner came to talk to us every evening to make sure we were happy. The building is an 18th Century farm house and is now on its 4th generation of owner! The room was simple and tasteful, and immaculately clean.
