Agrigento (Agrigento)
Reggina Saracena is located on a busy main road. Turning off from the direction of Agrigento is forbidden and also impossible for Italian conditions. You have to drive a few kilometres to turn around.
Despite a lot of e-mail traffic with the owner there was no room available for us on the day of arrival. We had to spend the first night in a friendly B&B.
Otherwise, we liked it there. The owner is sympathetic, the food was very good, the room clean. The building is situated in a beautiful garden with a playground and many nice seats.
From the accommodation you can reach in a few minutes the excavations in Agrigento and the sea.

The entire experience was excellent. We host greeted us with a welcoming beverage and let us relax a bit, then showed us to our room. The grounds are excellent - it is obvious that Giuseppe loves his work! Everything was good - the breakfast, the room, the two different dinners we had, etc. We'd be happy to return there anytime.
Reggia Saracena is very characteristic. The gardens are filled with sculptures, plants, sun loungers, swing chairs and hammocks. You can relax in the gardens and swim in the pool. Our room overlooked the road but we had a large terrace and an en suite bathroom. The bathroom smelt very bad (of sewage). We only ate breakfast at Reggia Saracena therefore did not try the dinner.
