The Pilato Farmhouse, located in the upper Val d'Agr˛, in the province of Messina, is dominated by Montagna Grande (1374 a.s.l.), the highest peak of the Peloritani mountains from which you can admire the majesty of Mount Etna and the sea as far as the Calabrian coast.
The Agriturismo Pilato consists of 2 residential units for guests, and one undergoing renovation.
These structures are the result of the recovery of buildings that were once intended partly for the owners and the collection teams and partly as a shelter for farm animals that were a fundamental support for those who permanently lived in the Sicilian valley.
The main structure, Pietro Russello, has 5 bedrooms, including and double, and two doubles with the possibility of adding a third bed. All rooms are equipped with private bathroom and free access to the living area, in winter heated by a cozy wood-burning fireplace.
The cuisine is particularly well prepared and follows mainly the Sicilian tradition, also revisited in vegetarian and vegan versions.
The other structure, Casa Pilato, is instead a Holiday House that has 4 beds, divided into two rooms.
In the land surrounding the three houses, of about 20 hectares, there are fruit trees, hazels and walnuts organic and several gardens that are grown according to the ancient traditions of local farmers.
