The accommodation

Casa Migliaca is located near the northern coast of Sicily a few kilometers from Cefalù, between the Nebrodi mountains and the Madonie.

The structure, stands isolated on a hill overlooking the sea on the east side of the valley of the river Tusa, from where the view extends between the green Nebrodi and the Tyrrhenian Sea . Its construction dates back to the seventeenth century. Originally an olive oil mill, since the early nineties it has been adapted to receptivity offering a simple but convivial hospitality. At Casa Migliaca the way of life is completely informal: in the evening we all dine together around the huge round table made out of the millstone for olives, in the morning breakfast is timeless and everyone serves themselves in the old kitchen on the first floor. Of the eight rooms available, those in the upper part of the house retain the furnishings of the time; in those on the lower floor we still find the underground jar, the small millstone and the chestnut loft, as evidence of the ancient functions. All the rooms are large and, respecting the volumes and the original architecture, the bathrooms are small, spartan but functional. The main building is at the centre of a farm consisting of a twelve-hectare garden planted with olive and lemon trees.
