The soul of Contrada Canalisi is certainly Giovanni who is heir in every sense of the family farm , from his great-grandfather settled in the second half of the 19th century to the present day, he is the repository of the memory of this place.

Canalisi nestled on a rocky but fertile hillside in the Netina countryside, covers about 16ha planted with olive trees, carob trees, as well as the characteristic almond and citrus trees .

Further downstream flows the stream Three Fountains, "a little Eden on earth."

The location of the masseria is optimal, a rise from which you can see Noto and the sea, out of the city chaos in total peace and in the truest countryside , easy to reach and at the same time defiladed.

The philosophy of this small farmhouse, lies precisely in the term 'small'. To remain so, at Contrada Canalisi's there are no swimming pools, no saunas, no reception rooms.

Here they cherish the true meaning of 'living in nature,' cultivating smiles, silence and calm, even before vegetables or turnovers.

The owners love living here, among the animals, and sharing spaces with guests, and over time they see their "small is beautiful" choice confirmed, even by guests who return often and gladly over the years. A way of life even before business.

The rooms are spacious and cool even in the middle of summer, which is due to the structure of the masseria, founded in the mid-nineteenth century and equipped with thick walls, which insulate from the scorching heat of most of the Netine summers.

The structure has 3 mini-apartments namely: Il Cantuccio(two-room apartment), the one-room apartment, and the three-room apartment.

The farmhouse can accommodate up to 6 people.

The three rooms overlook a baglio from which there is access to a cool garden with a hammock, an outdoor kitchen, a small dining/living room, and thelarge olive press dating from 1926, where you can still admire intact milling tools such as the presses or the millstone.

Outside the baglio is a Mediterranean solarium/relaxation garden.

The outdoor areas are for communal use, but the spaciousness of the spaces allows great freedom of movement and sacrosanct privacy.

Parking outside the beam is safely convenient and free because it is inside the property.

The masseria falls in a very strategic area and is well suited to those travelers who intend to visit most of the area's points of interest, from Syracuse or the wonderful Vendicari, to the southern end of Marzamemi, Portopalo or theIsle of Currents, as well as the interior to the Baroque jewels of Noto. Palazzolo Acreide, Scicli, Modica, Ragusa, all must-see stops in this part of the island.

The silence, calm and coolness of the masseria will refresh the heated traveler in the evening.

For those who choose sea life, umbrellas and chairs will be provided to enjoy the reserve's free beaches.

Thanks to the large beam, guests can take advantage of dining under the stars , and given the informal feel of the place, beautiful spontaneous atmospheres are created for pleasant conversations.
