The agriturismo
The farmstead belongs to the former Italian national skier Werner Perathoner and his family, in the wonderful natural setting of Selva di Val Gardena, in the heart of the Dolomites. Warm hospitality and a relaxing, sporting holiday in the centre of the Dolomiti Superski resort with its 1,200 km of ski slopes.
The accommodation
Guests are offered four apartments with balcony or garden and a view of the Dolomites. Breakfast is made with the farm’s own produce (fresh milk, fresh eggs, homemade yogurt, and dandelion, pine needle and mint creams). The estate is outside of the town centre, in a quiet location, ideal for families yet close to all services. The apartments have double bedrooms, bathroom with shower, kitchen with oven, dishwasher, fridge, hob and kettle, sitting room with satellite TV, safe and sofa bed, plus Wi-Fi.
Also available are ski-rooms with boot dryers, laundry room and bicycle shed. The wellness centre offers Finnish sauna, whirlpool tub, Turkish bath, natural sauna, aromatic shower, area relax with hay bed.
Plenty of farm animals including cats, rabbits, chickens and cows, plus there is a playground for children.
Activities and surrounding
In summer, guests can go for walks or cycles, even in the mountains, from Vallelunga as far as the Puez refuge. Mountain bike enthusiasts can use the 1,000 km of trails in the Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi area.
Winter here offers 12 carefully maintained ski resorts, 500 ski lifts which can all be used with the same ski pass, and 115 km of cross-country pistes. There is also the option of night sledding, snow shoeing and ski mountaineering.
Swimming pool 10 minutes away in Ortisei, Acquarena is 50 minutes away in Bressanone, Bolzano with its archaeology museum, home to the Ötzi the Iceman, and Merano with the gardens of Castel Trauttmansdorff, are both one hour away.
