Hofstatt, 2, 39040 Cortaccia sulla Strada del Vino (Bolzano)
The farm is in Cortaccia on the Wine Route, halfway between Trento and Bolzano. It has been run by the same family for over one century, growing fruit trees, producing wine and raising chickens, rabbits, geese, ducks and peacocks. In 2004, renovation work added a large room with TV, a small library, guidebooks for mountaineering in South Tyrol and a cooker with stove, fridge, dishes and a coffee machine.
Guests can stay in 5 carefully furnished rooms. Each one has a balcony or terrace, bathroom with shower and toilet, double beds and TV. The three larger rooms have a sofa bed; there is also free Wi-Fi.
Outside is a large garden perfect for having a fresh local breakfast which includes many homemade products such as jams, muesli, fresh eggs, fruit juices and cakes, or tasty rustic bread. Whoever fancies a snack can enjoy the seasonal fruit and vegetables grown on the farm.
The garden has a natural swimming pool with the pure water from the Kraidl spring and a panoramic view of apple orchards, vineyards and the Dolomites.
The roofed terrace with outdoor kitchen is free for guests to use and barbecues are often organised.
The surrounding area offers plenty of activities: mountain climbing on Corno Bianco, walks leaving from the farm as far as the giant Redwoods of Favogna, cycling trips on the Brennero cycle path, downhill, wine tastings at the many wineries along the Wine Route, visits to museums and to the city of Bolzano, which can be easily reached by train.
Guests are offered the WinePass Plus, a card that provides over 40 wine experiences with lots of events and discounts for tastings.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.
Owners will be held responsible for damage to property and persons.
Only a small detour from the highway, you will find this beautiful spot in Sud Tirol. In the middle of the vineyards ( Strada del Vino) and on the slope of the valley which gives it a magnificent view. To relax you can enjoy the swimming pool. The host is very friendly and helpful and makes a very good Kurtatsch Pinot Bianco! Worth the try.
