The agriturismo
Valentinhof is a versatileorganic farm located in a quiet and easily accessible location on the outskirts of Merano.
More than 60 different types of fruits and vegetables are grown organically.
The facility offers two modern, spacious and well-equipped apartments.
Inside the farm are a store and a café in the garden.
The accommodation
Valentinhof offers 2 beautiful and very spacious vacation apartments .
The location is ideal for exploring Merano and the surrounding area and is a good starting point for cycling or walking tours.
Second floor apartment: on the 1st floor (no elevator). It is furnished in a perfect mix of old and new styles. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and freezer. The two beds are 180x200, also there is a sofa bed (160x200) in the living room. The apartment is also suitable for longer stays, as it is very well equipped. Books and board games are available for guests, as well as TV and radio. Animals are not allowed. The apartment has its own covered terrace .
Second floor apartment: on the 2nd floor (no elevator). This apartment is also furnished in a mix of old and new styles. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and freezer. The two beds are 180x200, plus there is a sofa bed (160x200) in the living room for up to 6 people. The apartment is also suitable for longer stays, as it is very well equipped. Books and board games are available to guests, as well as TV and radio. Animals are not allowed. The apartment has its own balcony .
In the garden there is a playground for children. The farm also has animals such as chickens, cats, and a dog.
Bicycles, one of which has a child seat, are available free of charge. Ideal location, almost directly on the bike paths and very close to the main transportation links.
The farm is well located for experiencing Merano and its surroundings. Merano is also conveniently located for other attractions inSouth Tyrol.
Activities and surrounding
Hiking in the surrounding area
- Hafling and the Merano 2,000 ski vacation region are worth a visit for hiking in summer and skiing and hiking in winter. In the village of Hafling we recommend the restaurant Avelina for dinner. By car reachable in about 20 minutes.
- The Pfossental is a beautiful side valley of the Schnalstal valley and invites for a leisurely hike or a real mountain tour. Tip: stop at theEishof, really good food!
- Monte San Vigilio can be reached from Lana by cable car and is a beautiful family hiking area and ideal for relaxing. Tip: hike to the Seespitz Inn, idyllic location and good food.
- Beautiful villages in the area are Tirolo, Scena, Lagundo, Lana. In Scena we recommend a stop at the Zmailer-Hof.
- Below Bolzano are the Kalterer See and Montiggler Seen lakes, all beautiful warm lakes for swimming.
- In Merano, a visit to the world-famoushippodrome is a must on one of the racing days.
- Vellau is a beautiful mountain village above Lagundo. Tip: Stop at the Kienegger and Oberlechner restaurants.
Experience at the farm
The farm offers guests a free guided tour of the farm. This service is offered, upon request, weekly throughout the year. It is a great way to learn about the history of the farm, the owners and their organic farming.
For those who love farming, it is possible to help out on the farm to get a better understanding of how it is run.
