The agriturismo
The Winkler farm in Ried, surrounded by plantations of the prized Trentino apples, is located near the beautiful spa town of Merano.
The fruit and vegetable farm is located in Lagundo, in a peaceful and beautiful setting amidst orchards and apple or chards .
It is the ideal place to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains, where you can leave everyday stress behind.
The accommodation
The farm has 4 beautiful apartments (for 2, 3 or 4 people) furnished in rural style (landhaus).
They are the perfect place to relax and feel good; they have a fully equipped kitchen , two bedrooms with television/sat, a safe , and a balcony or terrace to enjoy the view.
One ground-floor apartment is barrier-free, making it perfectly accessible to people with disabilities.
Activities and surrounding
The farm is perfectly located for exploring Lagundo, Merano and the surrounding area.
Lagundo and the area around Merano are an ideal place for an active stay in South Tyrol: centuries-old irrigation ditch paths, numerous scenic trails in the valley and hiking trails at high altitudes up to 3,000 meters, a dense network of bike paths and mountain bike trails, and also castles, ruins and fortresses.
For water lovers, we recommend the Naturno water park (with indoor pool, outdoor pool and restaurant), whose admission is for free for the duration of your stay.
To explore the surroundings on two wheels, the farm provides bicycles, both for adults and children, to explore the area and to venture out on much longer hikes as well.
Via the "Aschbach" cable car, which guests can use free of charge during their stay, you can reach the hamlet of Rio Lagundo the ideal starting point for many different hikes of all degrees of difficulty, from the trail with a well-equipped forest path suitable even for children to summit climbs. And those who prefer to stay in the valley can set out on one of the characteristic irrigation ditch paths, discovering the unspoiled nature typical of South Tyrol.
The world-famous "Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle" near Merano are a fabulous destination in any season. A true sensory experience.
Finally, the Giogo Alto glacier in the Schnalstal valley is only a 30-minute drive from the resort.
Don't miss the rejuvenating thermal baths of Merano.
