The agriturismo
Agriturismo Il Pozzo is situated on a hill at the foot of which the Arno River takes its first steps, about 380 meters above sea level.
It dominates nature with its quietness, despite the fact that Capolona and Subbiano are only 1 km away.
Here guests will experience an enveloping vacation, feeling welcome and at ease, as if at home. The farmhouse is set up as a real farming village, divided into 4 buildings, immersed in the Tuscan countryside.
The Aretine family owners will be at the disposal of guests to make them experience and savor unforgettable moments of relaxation.
The accommodation
The hamlet consists of four houses, three of which house apartments equipped with a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, mocha, and electric water kettle.
In the cottage closest to the woods are 5 apartments on the first and second floors (Nippetella and Melissa with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, Malva and Verbena with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, Menta with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom).
On the first floor is the restaurant (indoor with outdoor patio), the flagship of the farm.
The second structure (Basil) is represented by a single cottage with 1 room and 1 bathroom (old farmer's hut).
The lower cottage houses 3 apartments (Thyme, with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, Sage, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, Rosemary, with 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms).
A fourth structure (Origano), finally, houses the farm mill where extra virgin olive oil is produced.
Typical buffet dinners are served in the restaurant , 3 times a week, and on other evenings more frugal but no less tasty dinners: palette of cheeses and cold cuts with marmalades, pasta with typical sauce and dessert.
Activities and surrounding
In the back of the houses, located in a garden surrounded by forest, is a panoramic swimming pool (9 x 16 m) encompassing the 3 x 3 m pool for children.
The exterior is surrounded by forest, meadows and terraces with olive trees and fruits. In the park there is a playground, a fitness trail for outdoor exercise, a bocce court and a ping-pong table. Finally, barbecues and a wood-burning oven are available to guests.
For guests' entertainment, the farmhouse organizes cooking classes (from the most typical and traditional to the most creative and tasty). The hamlet, 1 km from Capolona and Subbiano and 12 km from the center of Arezzo, is located at the gateway to the Casentino Valley, rich in Romanesque churches and traditions, unspoiled nature, quality gastronomy, castles, the famous Della Robbia terra cottas, Dante's places and places of the spirit. The Casentino Valley is an oasis of greenery that also encompasses the striking Casentino Forest Park, where it is possible to take spectacular trekking routes on foot and on horseback or by bicycle while enjoying unimaginable views.
