The agriturismo
The farmhouse, surrounded by a large garden, was built in the mid-19th century and preserves the forms and furnishings of the original era.
It is equipped with all modern conveniences and offers guests a swimming pool and spacious outdoor areas, ideal for recreation and relaxation.
It also has a common room in which breakfast is served on request.
The family's BIO farm consists mainly of vineyards and olive groves, cultivated organically, from which they produce Chardonnay, Merlot and Trebbiano grapes , Vinsanto and extra virgin olive oil sold on site.
The accommodation
The Talia apartment is located on the second floor and is accessed from the rear terrace. It consists of a large room overlooking the front yard and a kitchen from which there is access to the raised terrace, which is always shaded in summer.
Also on the second floor is the Diana apartment, which consists of a kitchen, large living room with stone fireplace, and large room overlooking the two sides of the villa. It also offers a terrace, always shaded during the summer season.
On the ground floor is the Dafne apartment , consisting of a large bedroom and a living-dining room with kitchenette, featuring a brick vaulted roof. It has an outdoor space equipped for outdoor meals.
The agritourism also has a breakfast room, called the Universal Room, made out of the building where grapes were pressed and farm tools were stored. It is called "Universal" because of the large print on the Judgment hanging on the wall. It is located near the pool and overlooks the outdoor courtyard.
In high season, set menu dinners are prepared. The Il Maggese kitchen offers farm-to-table dinners, family-style cooking with organic, 0-km ingredients, fresh vegetables from the garden, extra virgin olive oil and Senatore Cappelli durum wheat semolina pasta produced by the organic farm, and the best local produce. It is necessary to make reservations at least one day in advance.
During the summer season at Maggese we eat outdoors. Tables are set in the garden to enjoy the morning coolness while enjoying breakfast and the picturesque sunsets during dinners.

From the farmhouse you can easily reach Cortona, a tourist center of primary importance for its monuments and artistic masterpieces from the Etruscan, medieval and Renaissance periods.
The surrounding landscape
is dotted with small villages, ancient farmhouses and water mills and is marked by centuries-old forests of oaks, holm oaks, junipers and chestnut trees

Excursion lovers can take comfortable walks or bicycle
rides to discover the valley floor, which was reclaimed in the last century, and horseback
rides along the hillsides covered with extensive vineyards and olive groves.
Just 12 km from Lake Trasimeno, Il Maggese is a convenient starting point for cultural visits to both Tuscany ( Siena, Arezzo, Montepulciano) and Umbria (Assisi, Perugia, Spello, Gubbio, Spoleto).
