The agriturismo

Tuscan Valtiberina farmhouse, nestled in a landscape of green, chestnut-, oak- and beech-covered mountains and waters flowing to the Singerna tributary of the Tiber.

It has four apartments, a room for the disabled and a swimming pool.

The accommodation

Rural cottage nestled in a landscape of undulating mountains covered with chestnut, oak and beech trees, wide expanses of meadows, pastures and reflections of clear waters flowing to the Singerna tributary of the Tiber.

The accommodation is adjacent to the farm of the same name, which is engaged in livestock and agriculture.

The agritourism consists of four apartments and one room, made out of the old, separate main structure of the farmhouse, with a total of 14 beds.

In the first apartment called 'the nest' there are 2 double rooms plus a third set up with two single beds (sleeps 6), plus kitchen and living room.
In the other apartment
called 'the fireplace'
there is a double room and a second set up with cribs (sleeps 4) plus kitchen.
In the third apartment called 'the cellar'
there is a double room (with the possibility of adding a crib), a living room and kitchen. The fourth appartaemnto, for 2 people, is called 'the refuge'.

At your disposal, satellite TV and a panoramic swimming pool (6x12).

Mario and Elisabetta's guests will feel surrounded by sincere friends and can delight their palate with the delicacies of the hostess. In the restaurant made out of an ancient structure, the smells and flavors of the Tuscan land are combined: extra virgin olive oil and tomatoes picked from the garden are the ingredients of a genuine "panzanella" and again the not-to-be-missed Tuscan and mushroom crostini, not forgetting the truffle potato ravioli and Tuscan meat main courses and finally "la mattonata."

Activities and surrounding

The area is hilly and lends itself to beautiful hiking and/or mountain biking (possibility by prior arrangement to find them on site) along the trails that branch off.

Towards the valley there is a stream (Singerna) in which it is possible to bathe even in summer, practice fishing or organize picnics. For the more sporty it is possible to reach, following it, a very large and impressive artificial lake.

Upstream there is a beautiful scrubland that changes type as you go uphill, at first with chestnut trees to arrive at a dense beech forest.

Also a few kilometers away are medieval villages to visit, among them Anghiari, beautiful and characteristic, Monterchi and Sansepolcro, with their masterpieces by Piero Della Francesca, and Caprese Michelangelo with the story of Michelangelo Buonarroti's birthplace.

From May to September the farmhouse organizes dinners in the woods. In October, chestnuts and lunches in the woods are organized.
